Austria, Empire. First War Period Austro-Hungarian Army Em/Nco’s Belt Buckle United Republic of it consists of an oval(Grtelschnalle). In brass, obverse with a raised image, illustrating the double headed Imperial eagle clutching an orb and sword, the eagle bearing the coat of arms of the Dual Monarchy on its chest, surmounted by the Imperial crown, reverse is plain with an intact double pronged clasp on the roll bar plus tab catch, unmarked, measuring 66. 5 mm (w) x 52. 7 mm (h), surface wear evident on the coat of arms, light contact, better than very fine.
