Galesburg, IL Wooden real estate sign with bold black block lettering over a weathered ochre toned ground, reading "FOR SALE HIRAM MOREY LAND CO. 416 Bk. of Galesburg Main 1851." Lettering combines block and script styles, a characteristic touch of early 20th century sign painting where legibility met modest flourish. The inclusion of a 4 digit telephone exchange ("Main 1851") firmly dates this sign to the pre World War
