Carex brevior Osage Russia but don't worryCarex brevior is a widespread, but rarely grown sedge, native to all but three of the lower 48 states, where it most likely resides, but hasn't been documented. In the garden, it forms a beautiful 1' tall x 3' wide, deciduous, waterfall shaped clump. The narrow 3' tall spikes, top the clump, starting for us in early July.
